Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in a related field (with ICC, NICET, etc.).
• Current certification required (QCM related).
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a Quality role.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving abilities; ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
• Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications related to job duties.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, overseeing quality of works, material management, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches, mentors and trains project staff in quality management Principles and project-specific requirements.
• Leads quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, and follow-up inspections.
• Establishes and reports on KPIs and QIRs to drive continuous improvement.
• Audits project quality programs and provides feedback on major QIRs, relationships, and non-conformances.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation; schedules inspections with operations, consultants, laboratories and client.
• Develops project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control plans; reviews concrete mix designs and other quality elements.
• Manages risk to improve profitability through process management and risk mitigation.
• Maintains relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders to support project partnering.
• Supports Site Safety to ensure compliance with safety procedures and goals.
• Monitors quality costs and feedback to optimize billing and reduce rework.
