Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr

Role Summary

Senior Construction Project Manager – long‑term opportunity in San Diego, CA. The candidate will manage construction, quality assurance, project controls, design/build, architecture and engineering, space management, facilities management, real estate, and leasing for complex construction projects.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in federal construction management / owner’s representative services on new construction, renovations, upgrades or new fit‑outs for roadway and facility projects
  • BA or BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field
  • Lead construction project manager experience on federal construction projects
  • Lead owner’s representative experience on construction projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, Prolog, Kahua, etc
  • Coordination with project stakeholders, contractors, architects, and engineers during all phases
  • Review of design document submittals, cost and schedule estimates, and programmatic information
  • Cost verification, financial management, and change proposal negotiation
  • Strong project management principles and communication skills
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, contract terms, and CPM scheduling
  • On‑site construction management duties during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit‑out, commissioning, and occupancy phases
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active PMP, CCM, and/or CQM certification credential
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and monitor on‑site processes and systems for compliance with construction drawings, security requirements, and code compliance
  • Lead construction management and owner’s representative duties across multiple projects
  • Provide on‑site construction management duties during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit‑out, commissioning, and occupancy phases
  • Support project planning, procurement, design, management direction, and client satisfaction
  • Interface with clients to define project requirements
  • Review schedule and align project work plan and deadlines with requirements
  • Lead and manage the construction quality assurance process
  • Coordinate and monitor the completion of activities in all phases of the project life cycle
  • Monitor and oversee the project design or construction effort, including risk management, security, and safety compliance
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of construction submittals and contract documents
  • Provide project administration and contract administration duties, including records management
  • Generate well‑organized professional deliverables, including daily field reports
  • Assist the owner with acquisition planning, technical reviews, execution, and administration
  • Collect requirements, prepare statements of work, and conduct market research as appropriate
  • Provide technical support on a daily basis to all customers, manage electronic documents, and serve as the liaison for stakeholders and customer groups
  • Assist with the transition of projects to those responsible for ongoing maintenance of space
  • Travel required throughout multiple project locations
