Job summary

JB Pacific, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for an on-site, full-time role in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You will lead multiple complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to meet scope, quality, safety, and budget goals. The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of experience in large-scale life science, healthcare, or commercial construction, with strong PM and coordination skills, plus

Role Description

The Senior Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is responsible for leading multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project execution. The role includes coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure scope, quality, safety, and budget goals are met. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing drawings and specifications, managing contracts and change orders, monitoring cost reports, overseeing field activities, and resolving issues to keep projects on track. The Senior Construction Project Manager also mentors project staff, supports business development efforts, and represents JB Pacific in client and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Construction Project Management and Construction Management for complex life science, healthcare, or commercial projects.


• Strong Project Management and Project Coordination skills, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, and risk management.


• Proficiency in Budgeting and cost control, including forecasting, change management, and financial reporting.


• Experience leading on-site project teams, with a focus on safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.


• Ability to interpret construction documents and work effectively with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.


• Advanced skills with project management and construction software (e.g., Primavera, Bluebeam, Procore or similar platforms).


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.


• Attention to detail and problem solving skills.


• Willingness and ability to travel by air as needed.


• Valid driver's license.


• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.


• 8-10 years previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager on large or complex construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area or similar markets.

Candidate shall possess strong construction knowledge and plan reading abilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good written/oral communication skills, and has a strong work ethic. The position requires skill, industry knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with a multitude of project stakeholders.
