Job summary

Catalyst HRE is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects in the healthcare space, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery and quality across multiple sites. The role encompasses design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, daily project management, reporting, cost control, and seamless transition to asset management.

The position covers projects ranging from 20,000 SqFt to 120,000 SqFt, with location TBD including Pensacola, FL, Dallas, TX, Tampa, FL, or remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction and/or construction management.
• Healthcare construction experience preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of real estate practices and development life cycle.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to economize workflows, reporting, document project related meetings and create action item logs

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Lead or assist with site selection process including civil design, ESA, geotechnical review, planning, zoning and permitting.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
• Represent the company in project meetings monthly/quarterly client meetings for each project.

Job Description

Overview: The Senior Project Manager position supports and assists in the management of construction projects and oversees their progress in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Senior Project Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Project Management. The Senior Project Manager is an integral part of the Company’s Development and Construction team and is involved in all aspects of the development including but not limited to design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, day-to-day construction project management, project reporting, construction cost management, quality and controls management, closeout, and transition to Catalyst’s asset management team. The Senior Project Manager will comprehensively manage projects ranging from 20,000 SqFt to 120,000 SqFt.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion;
• Lead or assist with site selection process including civil design, ESA, geotechnical review, planning, zoning and permitting;
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs;
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations;
• Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures;
• Represent the company in project meetings monthly/quarterly client meetings for each project;
• Coordinate and direct general contractors and project consultants;
• Meet contractual conditions of performance;
• Proactively monitor the progress of the projects through updated schedules using Microsoft Project or similar software;
• Monitor, report and own project budget and reporting
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status;
• Coordinate the negotiating of terms of agreements, review contracts, and obtain permits and licenses;
• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks;
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering or related field is desired;
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience desired in construction and/or construction management;
• Preferred medical, healthcare, life science related construction experience;
• Fundamental knowledge of real estate practices and development life cycle
• Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word;
• Familiarity with construction management software packages;
• Ability to leverage AI tools to economize workflows, reporting, document project related meetings and create action item logs
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards;
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process;
• Ability to produce and manage project schedules;
• Competent in conflict and crisis management;
• Excellent time and project management skills;
• Ability to travel;
• Must have or can acquire a Driver’s License; and
