Job summary

Clark College seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects across Northern Michigan, including Alpena and nearby towns. You will deliver projects on time and within budget while coordinating with clients, teams, and partners.

You will also work with Business Development to identify and secure future regional opportunities, supporting Clark College's growth in the region. Ideal candidates may reside near Alpena, Traverse City, Petoskey, Gaylord, Cadillac, Cheboygan,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and process development skills
• Solid understanding of construction and engineering operations; adaptable to evolving tools
• Proficiency in data automation tools, project management software, and MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse teams

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain detailed project scopes, schedules, work breakdown structures, and planning assumptions
• Proactively manage scope, budget, and schedule adjustments to keep projects on track
• Collaborate with superintendents and management to allocate personnel and materials
• Establish and continuously adjust project priorities to meet deadlines
• Clearly define roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders
• Track and analyze key project performance metrics and take corrective actions
• Develop execution plans including risk management, communication strategies, change control, and quality assurance
• Conduct regular project assessments and provide updates to stakeholders
• Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients and leadership
