Job summary

Perlo Construction in Tualatin, OR seeks a Senior Construction Project Engineer to lead technical and administrative tasks from planning through closeout. You will coordinate with PMs, superintendents, architects, and subcontractors to ensure schedule and budget adherence on multiple commercial projects.

Strong reading of blueprints and control of RFIs/submittals are essential. The role requires at least five years of commercial construction experience, proficiency with MS Project and Bluebeam,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and specifications.
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Experience supporting budgets, scheduling, and procurement.
• Advanced MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Project skills.
• Advanced Bluebeam experience.
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Support technical execution and management of commercial projects.
• Coordinate daily with PMs, superintendents, subcontractors, architects, vendors, clients.
• Read and interpret blueprints and plan sets.
• Identify constructability issues and design conflicts.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, and invoicing.
• Support estimating activities for management and self-perform scope.
• Create and maintain project schedules with PM and superintendent.
• Review subcontractor proposals and procurements.
• Lead onsite meetings with clients and crews.
• Mentor junior project engineers.
