Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to provide technical support and coordination for construction projects. The role focuses on delivering on time, within budget, and to high quality standards from our Wentzville, MO base.

You will review plans, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze project data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for construction projects, including reviewing plans and specifications, preparing schedules and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Assist with project management activities, including developing project budgets, managing resources, and monitoring progress.
• Ensure projects comply with laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Manage project change requests with proper evaluation and approval.
• Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members about progress and issues.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate activities to keep work on schedule.
• Assist in developing and implementing project plans and schedules to stay on budget.
• Identify and manage project risks, mitigating or avoiding them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
