Job summary

Turner Construction Company in New York is seeking a seasoned procurement leader to oversee the department, develop bidding strategies, and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships on major projects.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years in construction procurement, with strong contract interpretation, risk analysis, and team leadership to ensure on-time, within-budget project success. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 7+ years in procurement in construction.
• Deep knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and practices.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specs, scopes, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage Procurement department processes, practices, policies, and staff.
• Develop bidding strategies for competitive bids with Preconstruction and Operations.
• Evaluate subcontractors to determine optimal selection for project.
• Oversee master subcontractor and vendor lists and prequalification.
• Maintain relationships with UBEs to monitor workloads, market trends.
• Lead negotiations and award processes for all subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure contracts reflect company standards for Quality, Safety, Ethics.
