Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking a Liability Claims Specialist II in Houston to lead investigation, management and resolution of diverse liability claims in construction. You will maintain precise records in the Claims Management System and coordinate with internal teams, legal counsel, and TPAs to ensure timely resolutions.

The role requires detail orientation, excellent written/verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Risk Management or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data/documentation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Investigate, manage and resolve complex liability claims in construction
• Document investigative activities, reserves and claim progression in the system
• Prepare for and participate in claim review meetings (internal/legal/TPA)
• Build and maintain relationships with employees, operations, legal counsel and third parties
