Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects seeks an experienced Construction Field Inspector to support on-site delivery for client projects. You’ll inspect, review plans, coordinate with contractors and teams, and help prepare cost estimates and constructability reviews.

You’ll lead inspection activities, mentor inspectors, and maintain strong client relationships while adhering to safety and quality standards across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• 6+ years’ experience reading and interpreting contract documents, including plans, specs, and geotechnical reports.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk; lift 40 pounds; work in extreme temperatures and loud environments on project sites.
• Experience leading teams and collaborating in a project environment.
• Strong client relationship management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inspection inquiries, identify issues, and report them to your supervisor.
• Collaborate with project teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and agencies.
• Assist in preconstruction activities, including reviewing drawings for constructability and preparing cost estimates.
• Monitor contractor resources, document field changes, and help negotiate adjustments.
• Delegate tasks, train inspectors, and support development of inspection standards.
• Build strong client relationships and keep senior management informed of major project impacts.
• Participate in construction, safety, and coordination meetings while reviewing contractor schedules.
• Onsite at client site: working on-site with clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate relationships.
