Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to perform contract item inspections and ensure compliance with plans and specifications on all phases of infrastructure projects.

You will track daily contractor activities, measure completed items for payment, maintain daily diaries, inspect traffic control and safety measures, and coordinate field operations. Preferred certifications include ADOT/WAQTC/ACI; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction inspection.
• Basic computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing).
• ADOT CITP preferred; ACI, ADOT SRDT, WAQTC/TCS certifications preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clean driving record; ability to travel.
• Experience in transportation-related projects; familiarity with ADOT specifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a construction inspector on infrastructure projects under the general supervision of the project engineer
• Tracks and inspects the daily activities of the contractor, measuring completed items of work and recording them for payment
• Daily project documentation
• Determines when materials or procedures are not in compliance and submits diaries or inspection logs
• Inspects traffic control and other worksite items for safety and compliance with standards
• Coordinates with the contractor to facilitate construction operations
• Field materials testing using nuclear density gauge
• Concrete testing

5+ years of experience in Construction
