Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer for our Saginaw, MI office. The role focuses on construction administration and oversight for municipal, MDOT, and heavy highway projects, requiring travel to active sites and strong leadership.

The ideal candidate has PE licensure in Michigan, 10+ years of relevant experience, and proven ability to manage projects from prebid to closeout while coordinating with clients and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan is required.
• 10+ years of municipal construction, MDOT, heavy highway, and/or bridge construction experience.
• Experience as Project Engineer or Assistant Project Engineer in construction oversight preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients and business opportunities in the MDOT Bay Region and Michigan municipal markets.
• Lead teams of engineers and technicians performing construction inspection, administration, and documentation from prebid through closeout.
• Administer and coordinate multiple municipal, highway, and bridge projects.
• Verify contractor work complies with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor inspection staff.
