Orionplacement in San Francisco is seeking an experienced California litigator to lead complex construction defect matters. You will manage cases from evaluation through trial, with autonomy and direct client interaction.

  • Active California Bar membership.
  • 12+ years of substantial civil litigation experience.
  • Strong motion practice, discovery, depositions, and complex case management.
  • Trial, arbitration, or judicial reference experience preferred.
  • Construction defect litigation experience preferred.
  • Plaintiff-side, HOA, community association, real estate, or construction-related litigation experience a plus.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy, organization, and judgment.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to own sophisticated matters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex construction defect litigation matters from case evaluation through resolution.
  • Draft, evaluate, and manage case management orders and litigation strategy.
  • Prepare, brief, and argue substantive motions.
  • Lead and oversee written discovery, document review, and discovery strategy.
  • Prepare for percipient and expert depositions.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, judicial reference proceedings, and trials.
  • Evaluate settlement opportunities and develop practical early-resolution strategies when appropriate.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, experts, opposing counsel, and other case participants.
  • Independently manage deadlines, priorities, and case responsibilities with exceptional attention to detail.

Pay:

$190,000.00 - $280,000.00 per year

Location

San Francisco, California / Greater San Francisco Bay Area. This is a local Bay Area position requiring regular in-person availability for court appearances, depositions, proceedings, client matters, and other case responsibilities.



Note

We are seeking an experienced California litigator with 12+ years of substantial hands-on civil litigation experience. Candidates with 20+ years of experience are especially encouraged to apply. Active California Bar membership and the ability to handle matters throughout the Bay Area are required. Construction defect experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of substantial civil litigation experience.

  • Strong experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and complex case management.

  • Trial, arbitration, or judicial reference experience strongly preferred.

  • Construction defect litigation experience strongly preferred.

  • Plaintiff-side, HOA, community association, real estate, or construction-related litigation experience is a plus.

  • Strong written and oral advocacy, communication, organization, and judgment.

  • Self-directed, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of sophisticated matters.
