Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a Construction Cost Manager to lead the cost controls for large-scale industrial, data-center, and manufacturing projects. You will manage budgets, forecasts, and change management while guiding a team of 8–15 cost engineers.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and proven experience in complex construction costs. This is an in-office position at project sites with opportunities for career growth within Hoffman’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive construction experience in GC/EPC/construction management environments.
• Experience leading cost management on industrial/large complex projects (manufacturing, data centers, pharma, etc.).
• Proven leadership of Cost Engineers/Project Controls teams.
• Strong cost management, forecasting, change management, and commercial skills.
• Experience coordinating with clients, owners, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead executive financial discussions and influence project decisions.
• Proficiency with CMiC, Procore, Oracle, Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project cost reports, budgets, forecasts, contingencies, and costs.
• Oversee monthly cost reporting, validation, and reconciliation for internal/external use.
• Provide executive cost analysis and recommendations to leadership and clients.
• Lead change order management, pricing validation, and supplier reviews.
• Mentor and develop a team of Cost Engineers and Project Controls staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery and financial performance.
