Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers seeks a qualified professional to serve as a Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, and Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) for complex federal construction projects in Oregon. Qualifications

Professional Engineering (PE) License or Professional Registration as a Registered Architect (RA).
1 year of specialized experience including project planning, construction input on schedules and costs, and progress reporting.
Experience in contract administration including reviewing submittals, processing payments, preparing contract modifications, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

Serve as Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, and Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) coordinating field and office engineering activities.
Plan and coordinate construction planning and scheduling; participate in design reviews and QA of in-house and A-E designs.
Lead contract administration functions within delegated authority to ensure compliance; negotiate with contractors and prepare modifications.
Lead a multi-disciplinary staff to ensure timely and quality performance; provide technical and administrative advice; train staff as needed.
Coordinate with designers, contractors, and agency representatives; maintain liaison with leadership and other agencies.
