Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Configuration Management professional to establish, implement, and maintain the CM plan and procedures across systems engineering programs. You will manage baselines, control MBSE artifacts in Cameo, support Configuration Control Boards, and ensure traceability from requirements through documentation, participating in audits and program reviews.

This role requires U.S. citizenship, an active TS/SCI with polygraph, and the ability to collaborate with architects and program

Qualifications

• Conduct functional and physical configuration audits; support program reviews and audits.

Establish, implement, and maintain the program’s Configuration Management Plan and supporting CM procedures
Manage and maintain configuration baselines for system architecture, models, documentation, and engineering artifacts
Maintain configuration control of MBSE models and associated artifacts developed using Cameo or related modeling tools
Coordinate and facilitate Configuration Control Board activities, including agenda preparation, change request evaluation, decision documentation, and approved-change tracking
Review and process Engineering Change Requests and configuration change documentation
Maintain configuration status accounting for configuration items, baselines, and approved changes
Ensure traceability between system requirements, architecture models, documentation, and engineering artifacts
Maintain document control procedures for engineering documentation, technical data packages, and program deliverables
Conduct functional and physical configuration audits where applicable
Ensure CM processes support system development, architecture evolution, integration, and sustainment
Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, and program management teams
Support internal and external program reviews and configuration management audits

Requirements

• All candidates must be U.S. Citizens
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph
• One of the following education and experience alternatives: Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus 15 years of systems engineering experience; High School Diploma or GED plus 19 years of general systems engineering experience in any Process Area; Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus 13 years of systems engineering experience; or PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus 13 years of systems engineering experience
• Experience supporting configuration management within systems engineering environments
• Experience managing engineering baselines, configuration control processes, and technical documentation
• Experience supporting Configuration Control Boards and engineering change management processes
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts and practices
• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes and configuration control principles
• Experience maintaining configuration records and ensuring traceability across engineering artifacts
• Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and program leadership
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Desired: Department of Defense or Intelligence Community program experience
• Desired: Familiarity with EIA-649 or MIL-STD configuration management practices
• Desired: Experience with engineering repositories, requirements management tools, or MBSE model repositories
• Desired: Experience supporting architecture frameworks or enterprise modeling environments
