Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Configuration Management professional to oversee PLM-driven product data, BoMs, and change management across aerospace/defense programs. You will audit configurations, maintain records, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Job description

• Oversee and manage the configuration of highly complex engineering and manufacturing products through a PLM system
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Product Data, including Parts and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
• Perform comprehensive audits and verification of product configurations to ensure compliance with the highest customer requirements, company and industry standards
• Lead the preparation and documentation required for product structure and configuration management
• Direct the configuration change management process, including evaluating, implementing, and tracking complex changes
• Collaborate with executive management, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives and resolve critical configuration issues
• Maintain and manage comprehensive records and documentation related to configuration management activities
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance configuration management practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in configuration management or a related field within the aerospace and defense industry
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
• Expert proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and configuration management principles
• Strong attention to detail and superior documentation skills
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Understanding of Documentation Control Database systems
