Job summary

SCN BestCo in North Carolina is seeking a senior product development engineer/scientist to lead creation of confectionery OTC and dietary supplements. You will evaluate ingredients, design robust experiments, and translate consumer needs into scalable formulations suitable for GMP manufacture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in product development engineering, science, or similar function.
• Experience applying statistics, modeling, ML, data mining to drive solutions.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a regulated confectionery environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify new ingredients and technologies for confectionary OTC and supplement markets.
• Translate briefs into formulation strategies meeting dose, sensory, and manufacturability targets.
• Perform experiments and analyze attributes to guide scale-up and data packages.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across quality, procurement, supply chain, regulatory, and commercial.
• Mentor junior scientists and establish best practices and documentation standards.
