Job summary

Powell Industries in North Canton, OH, seeks a Conduit Assembler to install electrical systems in the Power Control Room and ensure PCR shipments meet deadlines. You will bend and install conduit, lay out wireways, install lighting and fixtures, and read drawings to support project schedules.

You will work with common tools, understand conduit types, perform basic wiring, crimping, stripping, and basic measurement tasks while maintaining safety and organization in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typically at least 1 year of wiring experience in manufacturing.
• Must have conduit experience with both thick and thin wall conduit.
• Must have basic command of the English language (written and verbal).
• Must have basic mathematical skills (fractions, conversions).

Responsibilities

• Performs standard conduit bends and offsets.
• Properly installs conduit & devices (interior & exterior).
• Accurately lays out, modifies, & installs wireway/cable tray per design.
• Properly installs lighting, pipe lighting, & fixtures (interior & exterior).
• Demonstrates knowledge of conduit types, sizes, & fittings.
• Properly & safely uses & maintains tools (band saw, threader, knockout).
• Reads & uses tape measure/other measuring tools.
• Demonstrates ability to work from standard conduit schedule.
• Wiring (anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, flagging, and wire tagging).
• Crimping.
• Wire/Cable stripping.
• Adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices.
• Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality.
• Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs standard conduit bends and offsets
• Properly installs conduit & devices (interior & exterior)

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Education Equivalent Certificate
