Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a skilled field service inspector to manage daily dispatches via CMMS, perform on-site maintenance and inspections on petroleum-related equipment, and train junior staff. You will travel to customer sites on a set route, prepare workspaces for safe inspections, and ensure accurate reporting of test results.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, strong computer skills, and the ability to learn specialized software.

Requirements


  • Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background screening, and motor vehicle record check.

  • Candidate must demonstrate proficiency with basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.), and ability to learn industry-specific software applications.

  • Must be able to work independently without constant direct supervision.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, fellow team members and supervisors.

  • Minimum of 4 years' work experience with petroleum related equipment.

  • Successful candidates shall possess or complete the following:

  • API Safety Certification (during onboarding).

  • Class A and Class B Operator certifications for the state(s) in which they operate via online course within 30 days of employment.

  • PEI RP-300, RP-900 & RP-1200 online training within 45 days of employment.

  • JF Petro Group Service Training NTO (New to the Organization) and NTI (New to the Industry) courses within 90 days of employment.

  • Tank monitor manufacturer's level 2/3 courses.

  • Tank, line, line leak detector and air testing certifications from equipment manufacturer and regulatory agency as required.

  • Preferred candidates would possess additional manufacturer courses including but not limited to Red Jacket, Franklin Fueling, OPW, EMCO, Healy, etc.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
