Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• Minimum 5 years billing, coding, and documentation experience in a hospital setting.
• Coding certification (CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT) required.
• Familiar with facility and professional documentation, coding and billing rules.
• Able to navigate registration, billing, and documentation systems.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized and analytical; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Participates in external government audits, including OMIG, OIG, MFCU, AG, DOH, CMS, NGS, MIC, RAC, ZPIC, HEAT.
• Coordinates audit activities and responds to compliance inquiries.
• Develops audit reports and presents findings to senior management and Board.
• Develops and conducts education for 500+ physicians and staff; ongoing compliance training.
• Maintains documentation templates and training calendars; conducts meetings and rounds.
