Job summary

Corient is seeking a Senior Global Compensation Associate to manage, optimize, and scale international reward frameworks within the financial services sector. You will partner with Global Finance, HRBPs and leaders to design competitive compensation programs, leveraging Workday to translate dense datasets into actionable insights under tight timelines.

The role requires 5–8 years in corporate compensation, advanced Excel, and experience with market surveys (McLagan, Mercer, Willis Towers

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in corporate compensation analysis, ideally within financial services.
  • Hands-on experience using Workday (Workday Compensation) to manage global salary and incentive programs.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including index/match, arrays, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with global cash structures, bonus pools, and equity award mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Data analysis: build and audit models to evaluate internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Leverage Workday to manage salary structures, grades, eligibility rules, and merit cycles.
  • Benchmark markets using financial services surveys and build automated reports for stakeholders.
  • Design plan structures for international base salaries, incentives, and deferred equity.
  • Partner with leadership to model international compensation structures and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage global compensation cycles from budgeting to implementation.

You thrive in environments with ambiguity, easily shifting between complex financial modeling and high-level strategy conversations regarding cash and equity structures. The ideal candidate is an analytical expert who leverages Workday to translate dense datasets into actionable business insights under tight timelines.**Key Responsibilities*** **Data Analysis**: Build, maintain, and audit complex models to evaluate the internal equity and external competitiveness of global compensation programs and build / maintain sustainable models that can be leveraged over a period of time. The ability to create sustainable modeling architecture through automation would be extremely valuable in this role.* **Workday Optimization**: Leverage Workday's advanced compensation module to manage salary structures, grade profiles, eligibility rules, and merit cycles. In addition, leveraging the full suite of Workday's automation capabilities to create sustainable compensation modeling / insights architecture.* **Market Benchmarking**: Own the global participation in and analysis of financial services market surveys to identify talent trends and shifting salary movements. Build automated / self-service reports for HR Business Partners, Finance and other stakeholders.* **Plan Design**: Partner with leadership to draft, refine, and model structures for international base salaries, variable cash incentives, and deferred equity awards.* **Stakeholder Consultation**: Serve as the subject matter expert to HRBPs, providing clear, data-backed guidance as needed, included liaising with Finance to ensure a robust bonus accrual process.* **Project Management**: Drive the execution of time-sensitive global compensation cycles, including annual year end reviews, from initial budgeting to final implementation.* **Communication**: Translate intricate financial, regulatory, and equity concepts into straightforward, universal narratives for non-technical stakeholders and executive teams.* **Governance**: Maintain high-quality documentation of global reward structures and ensure strict compliance with regional labor laws and financial services remuneration regulations.**Required Qualifications*** **Experience**: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of dedicated, progressive experience in corporate compensation analysis, ideally within the financial services sector.* **System Expertise**: Proven hands-on experience utilizing Workday (specifically Workday Compensation) to manage large-scale global salary and incentive programs.* **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.* **Technical Skills**: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel (e.g., index/match, arrays, complex nested formulas, financial modeling).* **Compensation Depth**: Advanced knowledge of global cash structures, bonus pools, and complex equity award mechanics (such as vesting schedules, performance metrics, etc.).* **Survey Expertise**: Extensive hands-on experience utilizing financial services market survey databases (e.g., McLagan, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).**Core Competencies*** **Comfort with Ambiguity**: Ability to operate effectively and build structured solutions out of loose, shifting business requirements across different regions.* **Self-Starter Mindset**: High intrinsic motivation to initiate tasks, solve problems proactively, and independently manage time-sensitive projects.* **Business Acumen**: Strong capacity to view compensation through a financial and operational lens, aligning reward plans directly with business profitability and risk management.*This position description is intended to provide a general overview of the expectations and responsibilities of this position and may not include all tasks that may be assigned. The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 USD per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.**Physical Requirements*** This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
