Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Communications Consultant to lead internal and external communications for the MCW Cancer Center. You will shape content strategy, coordinate across teams, and craft compelling storytelling to elevate cancer research and trials.

You will develop messages for researchers, donors, and community partners, manage an editorial calendar, and ensure alignment with MCW brand guidelines while supporting fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Proven ability to develop print and media based communications for diverse audiences.
• Ability to translate complex cancer research into clear, engaging messages.

Responsibilities

• Develop content strategies aligned with enterprise goals and Cancer Center priorities.
• Identify, write, and edit content highlighting research discoveries, patient impact, and partnerships.
• Translate complex cancer research into clear messages for researchers, faculty, staff, patients, and donors.
• Create content for multiple channels: feature stories, blogs, newsletters, reports, presentations, and social media.
• Maintain and enhance website content and e-newsletters per MCW brand guidelines.
• Coordinate content from diverse sources reflecting MCW priorities and style guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership to summarize accomplishments for stakeholders and web content.
• Respond timely to inquiries about the Cancer Center and its achievements.
• Contribute to Audaxity fundraising communications and storytelling.
