Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a Lead Commissioning Integrator to lead plant startup, tune control loops, and resolve cross-system faults. You will approve reports and ensure audit-ready documentation (NERC/ISO), lead SAT, and secure client sign-off while coordinating training and turnover readiness.

The role requires 8+ years of hands-on commissioning in renewable energy systems, PLC/SCADA exposure, and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time. A valid U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or Bachelor’s in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent or proven field commissioning experience (8+ years)
• Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, or SCADA systems (basic familiarity)
• Reads wiring diagrams and simple network diagrams
• Typically 8+ years of hands-on commissioning in Renewable energy systems (solar, BESS, substation controls)
• Complex troubleshooting across PLC, SCADA, networking, relays, communications
• Leading subsystem or full-site commissioning scopes
• Experience training or mentoring junior staff
• Demonstrated success navigating client-facing SAT signoffs
• Advanced understanding of control sequences, networking, and power systems
• Willing to travel 50% of the time
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards
• Must have permanent authorization to work in US
• Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead plant startup; tune control loops; resolve cross-system faults

• Days, Evenings, Nights and weekends may be required and are mandatory as required by client schedules
