Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in New York, NY seeks a Senior - Supervising Commissioning Agent to lead testing and commissioning of complex electrical and mechanical systems across mission-critical facilities. You will collaborate with design engineers, vendors, and clients to develop commissioning plans, oversee QA/QC, and manage field activities, scheduling, and budgets.

This role requires extensive hands-on experience, LEED awareness, and a track record in data centers, pharma, or healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years field experience in testing, validation and troubleshooting of large Electrical or Mechanical systems.
• 8 to 14 years of relevant experience in the MEP field.
• Understanding of proper system selection.
• Knowledge of LEED principals applied to building designs.
• Solid understanding of applicable codes.
• Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and PECI Cx procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and administer Commissioning Plans, and Systems Manuals consistent with Syska format
• Participate in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
• Assist senior commissioning engineer or project manager in scheduling and budgets
• Perform construction administration and field inspections with detailed inspection reports
