Job summary

Rise Baking Company in Tucker, GA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead new product development for key customers. You will drive cross-functional teams, align sales and R&D, and ensure products are commercialized on time and to spec.

The role requires strong communication, strategic insight into customer needs, and meticulous project documentation. You will mentor teams, manage risks, and contribute to Rise's growing NPD pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing complex NPD projects.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in project/business management, marketing, or related discipline preferred.
• PM certification preferred.
• B2B or B2C food industry experience preferred.
• Understanding of basic revenue models, and profit and loss.
• Working knowledge of project management tools/software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated leader with a collaborative and positive attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in customer-facing and internal situations.
• Ability to relate and connect the product, consumer, and competitors.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer-driven NPD projects on time and in full.
• Align with Sales and R&D on clear project briefs and milestones to meet customer expectations.
• Create and manage project timelines, lead meetings, identify resources, assign tasks, and track progress.
• Lead cross-functional project teams through the NPD process and ensure milestones are met.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks to milestones as required.
• Conduct post-mortem analyses for key projects to identify root causes of success or failure.
• Understand our business, key customers, and competitive environment to drive insight-driven NPD.
• Attend and support customer calls, meetings, presentations, and ideation sessions as needed.
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cross-functional processes.
• Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Create and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation
