Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years in national title insurance underwriting or comparable commercial real estate experience in a law firm.
• Familiar with title underwriting processes for real estate transactions and associated guidelines.
• Understanding of commercial real estate law including federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide title underwriting support and authorization for real estate title commitments and policies.
• Apply underwriting standards to assess risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Guide internal teams on settlement services and transaction structure.
• Develop underwriting guidelines in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support transaction execution.
• Other duties as assigned.
