Job summary

First American is looking for a Commercial Title Officer / Commercial Underwriter to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The position is hybrid, based in Houston, TX, but remote candidates are welcome to apply.

The role includes performing title searches, underwriting transactions, and collaborating with internal teams and customers to resolve title matters. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience and a strong grasp of commercial real estate law.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial title and/or underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate law and title insurance.
• Experience underwriting high-liability transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support for title insurance commitments.
• Evaluate and underwrite title risk according to guidelines.
