Senior Commercial SolicitorHarper James is a growing, ambitious commercial law firm like no other. We are expanding our commercial team and have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Solicitor with 10+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join us.

The workload is varied, and you will support businesses of different sizes across a range of sectors, delivering clear, practical advice on their commercial arrangements.

What we’re looking forWe are looking for a Senior Commercial Solicitor with 10+ years’ PQE and strong general commercial experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

You will be confident leading matters and managing client relationships, with a track record of delivering pragmatic, commercially minded advice. In particular, your experience will include drafting, reviewing and negotiating:

• Goods and services agreements and terms of business.

• Distribution agreements.
• Agency agreements.
• Introducer and referral agreements.
• Terms for online sales of goods and/or services.

• Website terms.
• Software licences and end-user licence agreements (EULAs).

• Software development and support agreements.

• Software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements and terms.

Strong drafting and negotiation skills are essential, alongside the ability to turn complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance that reflects each client’s commercial objectives.

You will be collaborative, proactive and comfortable working closely with growing and innovative businesses across a range of sectors. You will also be happy to work alongside colleagues in our technology, data protection, employment and corporate teams to give clients joined-up advice.
