Job summary

CMR Recruiting seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney for a boutique commercial litigation firm in Nassau County, NY. You will run your own matters and work directly with the founding partner on high-stakes disputes in a full-time, in-person role.

Admitted to the New York Bar with 5+ years of commercial or business litigation experience, you will draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, while enjoying comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New York Bar and in good standing.
• 5+ years of commercial or business litigation experience.
• Proven ability to run matters independently, including dispositive motions, discovery strategy and depositions.
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience with judgment enforcement, asset tracing or distressed matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a caseload of business to business commercial disputes from strategy through resolution.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, manage discovery, and appear in court and at mediations.
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including inter-creditor and restructuring documents.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, advising on exposure, risk and strategy.
• Partner directly with the founding partner on the firm's most significant matters.
