Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the relevant state bar in good standing.
• 7-10 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Significant experience with motion practice and complex discovery.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet demanding deadlines.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and other substantive applications.
• Take primary responsibility for all aspects of discovery, including developing discovery strategies, drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document review, and preparing for and defending depositions.
• Conduct complex legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and other substantive legal documents.
• Develop case strategy and work independently while collaborating with partners, associates, clients, experts, and other professionals.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and provide practical, strategic advice to clients.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines with attention to detail.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with clients and demonstrate strong case and client-management skills.
