Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in commercial interior design with a proven track record.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD preferred; training available.
• Proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite; Keynote and Mac OS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial design principles, space planning, furniture systems, lighting design and finishes.
• In-depth understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrated leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the interior design process for commercial projects from programming to construction administration.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements and constraints.
• Develop and present design concepts, space plans, and material palettes.
• Prepare design presentations using Adobe Suite or Keynote and rendering tools like Enscape.
• Create detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documents.
• Visit sites and coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure design intent.
• Stay current with industry trends and mentoring junior designers.
• Ensure coordination with architecture, MEP, and structural engineering.
• Assist in client presentations, proposals, and industry events.
