Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Commercial Flooring Estimator to join their client’s team and deliver accurate, competitive estimates for commercial flooring projects. Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial flooring estimating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial flooring products including carpet tile, broadloom, LVT, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber, tile and polished concrete.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings, specifications, and finish schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating/project-management software.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial flooring projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, finish schedules, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed flooring takeoffs for labor, materials, accessories, and installation requirements.
• Analyze project scopes and identify potential risks, exclusions, and areas requiring clarification.
• Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop competitive pricing while maintaining targeted gross margins.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements.
