Job summary

Nature Air Corp is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Duct Installer/Mechanic for commercial HVAC construction projects across South Florida. This is not an entry-level role and requires hands-on experience with ductwork, plan reading, and layout skills.

The position entails reading plans, laying out runs, and installing rectangular and spiral duct systems with minimal supervision. You will handle field measurements, install hangers, dampers, and diffusers, and coordinate routes on busy sites.

Qualifications

• Commercial sheet-metal duct installation experience required.
• Able to independently read mechanical plans.
• Able to lay out sheet-metal ductwork from drawings.
• Experienced installing rectangular sheet metal.
• Spiral duct experience strongly preferred.
• Strong field-measurement skills.
• Able to identify fittings and transitions required in the field.
• Able to work independently without another mechanic directing the work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret commercial mechanical/HVAC plans
• Lay out sheet-metal duct runs based on plans and field conditions
• Install rectangular sheet-metal ductwork
• Install spiral ductwork
• Install supply, return, exhaust and outside-air systems
• Install fittings, transitions, offsets, elbows and related components
• Determine field measurements and required fittings
• Install hangers and supports
• Install dampers, diffusers, grilles and registers
• Coordinate duct routes around actual field conditions
• Identify installation conflicts and communicate them before proceeding
• Direct installers or helpers when assigned
• Maintain clean, professional commercial installations
