Job summary

Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Risk Review Officer to join our Midvale, UT office (also in Houston or Phoenix). You will lead examinations, evaluate credit structures and underwriting, and collaborate with a team of skilled examiners to protect shareholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of credit risk, accounting, audit procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial and commercial real estate loan products.
• Ability to identify credit risk issues and provide timely conclusions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience performing credit analysis or conducting audit assessments on commercial and commercial real estate lending products.
• Portfolio management experience with a regional or large bank is beneficial.
• Regulatory experience (OCC, FDIC or State Regulator) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in and lead examinations reviewing commercial, CRE, and specialty lending to identify credit risk problems.
• Analyze detailed financial data and spreads to assess repayment capacity.
• Assess underwriting and monitoring processes and risk grades.
• Test compliance with policies, procedures, and banking regulations.
• Review collateral and loan documentation for lien perfection and covenants.
• Communicate conclusions to management with recommendations.
• Perform validation testing to confirm implementation of recommendations.
• Minimal travel required, up to 5 days annually.
