GQ is looking for a Senior Commerce Editor to help lead and grow GQ Recommends across grooming, wellness, fitness and the broader lifestyle universe. This person will write, assign, edit, and publish a daily lineup of commerce content, from deeply reported buying guides to punchy obsessions to timely product news. The role will work across every corner of the GQ Recommends ecosystem, with an emphasis on visual storytelling through video, social, newsletter, and other emerging formats. The ideal candidate is as comfortable shaping a story behind the scenes as they are stepping in front of a camera and audience engagement across newsletters, video, and social. Reporting to GQ’s Commerce Director, the Senior Commerce Editor will work with editorial, cross-functional departments, external partners, and a team of dedicated writers and editors, to develop high-impact content that drives performance to meet ambitious revenue growth. The role requires exceptional editorial judgement, strong management skills, deep familiarity with commerce publishing and SEO, and a sharp understanding of how shopping content performs across platforms.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $90,000 - $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
