Job summary

Voiceflow is hiring a Senior Propulsion Engineer in San Francisco. You will lead the design of combustion devices within propulsion systems, apply advanced materials, and conduct performance tests. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience with hands-on design, is proficient in CAD modeling, and has a strong understanding of thermodynamics. Qualifications

• 5+ years hands‑on experience designing combustion devices for propulsion.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid behavior.
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation selection.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual trades for novel combustors.
• Complete detailed designs with structural, thermal, and fluid analyses.
• Assemble prototypes and establish work instructions.
• Conduct hardware test and analyze data to verify requirements.

Skills

Experience designing combustion devices

Expertise in design and analysis of airbreathing combustors

Proficient in CAD modeling (Siemens NX)

Understanding of thermodynamics

Hands-on prototype assembly

Experience with data acquisition
