Job summary

Gulf States Toyota in Houston, TX is seeking a Collision Paint Technician II to refinish damaged auto parts and vehicle bodies in accordance with OE Factory and Toyota TIS specifications.

Responsibilities include surface prep, paint mixing and application, quality inspections, and maintaining a safe shop. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license; ASE and color matching skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Three+ years as collision paint technician with sheet metal/interior collision repair experience preferred.
• Driver license valid in state required.
• ASE certifications in auto body repair/painting/estimating preferred; related certifications valued.

Responsibilities

• Refinish vehicle bodies/parts per OE/TIS specs and time standards.
• Perform surface prep: sanding, masking, priming, sealing for high-quality paint.
• Mix, match, and apply paint with approved techniques and tools.
• Inspect finished work for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, hazardous materials).
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment and collaborate with teammates.
