Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a senior Coatings Inspector III to lead protective coatings across projects, review and write coating specifications and inspection plans, and advise owners and engineers on system selection and quality requirements.

This role requires AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 3, strong failure analysis experience, and the ability to supervise Level 1 and 2 inspectors, audit applicators, and coordinate field and lab activities in industrial, water/wastewater, marine, and

Qualifications

• AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 3 certification required and current.
• 8+ years of coatings inspection experience including supervisory duties.
• Experience with coating failure investigations and audits.

Responsibilities

• Review and write coating specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality requirements.
• Investigate coating failures through field evaluation, sampling, and lab coordination.
• Audit applicators and coating suppliers; qualify inspection subcontractors.
• Supervise and develop Level 1 and 2 inspectors across projects; calibrate acceptance standards.
• Advise owners and engineers on coating system selection, service life, and maintenance planning.
