Job summary

Stellant Systems in Melville, NY is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment to produce precision parts from drawings.

You will read complex blueprints, apply GD&T, select tooling, and develop machining strategies to meet tight tolerances for military/space-grade components.

Proficiency with Mastercam or Fusion 360, Haas CNC machinery, and meticulous attention to 5S/LEAN practices is required; onsite only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or an associate degree with relevant experience.
• 8+ years in a machine shop; strong machining practices and materials knowledge.
• Experience with Haas CNC equipment and CAM software.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances with precision metrology tools.
• Lean/5S experience and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts from drawings.
• Read blueprints and GD&T, applying shop math.
• Maintain tight tolerances in military/space-grade parts.
• Determine machinery, sequences and tooling for operations.
• Select cutting tools and maintain tooling.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges to verify conformance.
• Uphold 5S/LEAN standards and keep the shop organized.
• Identify needs for new equipment and process improvements.
