Job summary

Karman Space and Defense is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop, implement, and support machining processes for precision components. You will interpret engineering drawings, design strategies, program toolpaths on Mastercam, and troubleshoot issues directly on the shop floor with machinists, engineers, and quality teams.

Work on three-, four-, and five-axis machines, own projects from concept to production release, mentor operators, and help standardize CAM workflows.

Qualifications

Five or more years of hands-on Mastercam programming experience.
Strong GD&T and print reading skills with CMM data interpretation.
Ability to diagnose and resolve shop floor machining issues on the spot.
Experience mentoring machinists and other programmers.

Responsibilities

Develops and programs machining processes for complex components using Mastercam.
Designs machining strategies and fixtures for three-, four-, and five-axis CNC machines.
Owns projects from concept through production release and ongoing support.
Troubleshoots machining, tooling, and quality issues on the shop floor.
Supports legacy programs and analyzes CMM reports with Quality.
