Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates in the United States is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision manufacturing team. You will program, operate and mentor within a fast-paced foundry tooling environment, collaborating with engineering and CAD staff to optimize tooling from concept through production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of advanced manufacturing experience required.
• 3 years of verifiable CAM programming experience required.
• Associate’s degree or certification in CNC machining, precision machining, or manufacturing technology preferred.
• 5+ years of advanced manufacturing experience with 3+ years CAM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to improve tooling designs and processes.
• Use Mastercam to generate G-code for CNC machining operations.
• Design work-holding fixtures or select appropriate solutions.
• Maintain a tool library database.
• Set speeds and feeds to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models and drawings to support machining.
• Set up and calibrate CNC machines for production runs.
• Operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
• Perform in-process inspections with calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement and new technology opportunities.
• Mentor Tooling Center machinists and share knowledge.
