Job summary

Camco Precision Machining is a family-owned shop in Union Grove, Wisconsin, seeking an experienced CNC machine operator. You will operate CNC equipment during production runs, load materials, inspect parts, read blueprints, and maintain part dimensions with tool offsets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience is required.
• Independently operate CNC equipment once a job is set up.
• Read blueprints and understand dimensions and tolerances.
• Properly use micrometers, calipers and other inspection equipment.
• Inspect parts and determine whether they meet specifications.
• Make tool and wear offsets to maintain dimensions.
• Change inserts and basic tooling when necessary.
• Understand tool wear and how it affects part quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines during production runs.
• Load raw material or parts and unload completed components.
• Perform in-process inspections according to established requirements.
• Read blueprints and understand part dimensions and tolerances.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other inspection equipment.
• Make tool and wear offsets to maintain part dimensions.
• Change inserts and basic cutting tools as they wear.
• Monitor machine performance and part quality throughout production.
• Identify machining problems and know when to seek assistance.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation.
