Job summary

Zing Recruiting seeks a Senior CNC Programmer to work remotely with periodic travel to Bethlehem, PA. You will develop and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis and multi-spindle operations, program in SolidCAM, and mentor junior programmers, ensuring adherence to cGMP and QMS.

First shift with modest yearly travel; salary between $100k-$120k DOE plus a 10% target bonus. This role requires strong G-code knowledge and hands-on manufacturing experience with high-precision machines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC mill programming on 5-axis machines.
• Experience with multi-spindle 5-axis equipment is preferred.
• Travel to Bethlehem, PA facility a few times per year as needed.
• Working knowledge of SOPs, SWIs, cGMP, GDP, and QMS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for complex machining operations.
• Support programming and machining of multi-axis and multi-spindle equipment.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, tooling, and process issues.
• Identify and implement process optimization and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Establish and maintain CNC programming standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to machinists, programmers, and manufacturing personnel.
• Program in SolidCAM, edit programs, and set up for milling machines (Haas, Hurco, Robodrill; multi-spindle 5-axis).
• Ensure tool paths are optimized for efficiency and precision.
• Load, verify, and debug CNC programs.
• Mentor Level 1-3 CNC Mill Programmers to improve dept. skills.
• Execute EPICOR ERP transactions to support job functions.
• Adhere to cGMP, SWIs, SOPs, GDP, and QMS.

Travel: Must be able to travel to Bethlehem, PA a few times per year.

1st Shift Monday-Friday

Salary: $100k - $120k DOE plus 10% target bonus

Duties

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for complex machining operations.


• Support programming and machining of multi-axis and multi-spindle equipment.


• Troubleshoot CNC programming, machining, tooling, and process issues.


• Identify and implement process optimization and continuous improvement opportunities.


• Establish and maintain CNC programming standards and best practices.


• Provide technical guidance and support to machinists, programmers, and manufacturing personnel.


• Program in SolidCAM, edit and optimize programs as needed, and set up new programs for single-spindle milling machines (Haas, Hurco, Robodrill) as well as multi-spindle 5-axis milling machines.


• Ensure tool paths are optimized for efficiency, precision, and minimal tool wear.


• Apply advanced understanding of CNC mill G-code


• Load, verify, and debug CNC programs.


• Mentor Level 1, 2, and 3 CNC Mill Programmers to improve department skills.


• Understand and execute EPICOR ERP transactions to support job functions.


• Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and the Quality Management System (QMS).


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC mill programming on 5-axis machines; experience with multi-spindle 5-axis machines preferred.


• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer, preferably in a high-precision manufacturing environment.


• Experience programming and supporting complex multi-axis CNC equipment.


• Ability to travel to the Bethlehem, PA facility a few times per year as needed.


• Working knowledge of SOPs, SWIs, cGMP, GDP, and QMS.


• Manufacturing experience
