Honeywell Aerospace in San Jose, CA is seeking a skilled machinist to operate CNC and manual equipment to produce precision parts. You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, and participate in process improvements.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, MasterCam/ACAD experience, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly wage. This position supports our aerospace supply chain and quality objectives.

Formación

• Minimum of 4 years of machining or similar experience.
• CAD/CAM experience with ACAD software and MasterCam.
• Ability to perform basic precision measurements on parts using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers and various gauges.
• Prototype experience going from a drawing to completed part (Mastercam file setup, fixturing, CNC setup & machining, verifying dimensions/finish).
• Manual mill and lathe experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
• Experience with Haas/Fanuc style controls.
• Minimum 2 years in the proper application and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ASME Y14.5 standard.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Perform quality inspections and measurements to verify conformance to specifications and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated experience in the development of machining processes, including fixturing and tooling design and selection.
• Able to produce parts with a high degree of difficulty and tight tolerances.
• Must be willing to machine graphite while also having experience with standard materials (aluminum, steels, plastics).
