Job summary

Winchester Interconnect is seeking a CNC Machinist Set Up / Operator A to operate and set up lathe machines in a fast-paced environment. You will interpret drawings, determine tooling, and establish sequences while tracking time and maintaining NC programs to meet cycle times.

You will also uphold safety, perform preventive maintenance, and support cost-reduction and productivity initiatives through efficient setup and machining practices.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 10 years machining experience with at least 8 years CNC operation and G-code programming.
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting machine shop equipment and practice.
• Ability to read blueprint drawings and interpret technical data.
• Basic math skills and adherence to safety standards.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, planning setups, and tooling selection.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision metallic and nonmetallic parts.
• Read blueprints and plan setups, select tooling, and determine machining methods.
• Set up machines, change tools, and adjust to meet specs.
• Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and tolerance.
• Track job time, collect SPC data, and support efficiency initiatives.
• Load/save NC programs and perform preventive maintenance.
