Job summary

Velocity Machine, Inc. in De Pere, WI is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision shop. You will set up, program, and operate diverse CNC machines from complex blueprints, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

The role offers shift options with premium pay on 2nd and weekend shifts; pay is based on experience and includes a strong benefits package. Minimum 5–7 years CNC experience and proficiency with G-code, micrometers, and inspection tools are expected.

Qualifications

5–7 years CNC Machining and programming experience or equivalent years of experience.
Solid blueprint reading skills, strong math skills, and in-process inspection skills.
Proficient at micrometers, dial calipers, height gage, shop gages, depth gages and dial indicators.
Read and interpret G-code; edit programs and offsets; problem-solve independently.
Maintain tolerance and finishes to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ability to set up, program and operate CNC machining equipment.
Interpret blueprints and determine efficient methods to meet tight tolerances.
Ensure successful launch of new jobs and assist project managers on methods and tooling.
Perform in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
Shorten changeover time by organizing materials and tools for next run.
Complete program folders, time slips and inspection reports.
