Job summary

Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. in Houston is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and vertical/horizontal mills. You will study drawings, determine dimensions and tolerances, and run programs to produce high-quality parts while adhering to safety standards.

You will edit CNC programs, perform in-process dimensional inspections, and assist with tooling and offsets. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in precision machining with CNC lathes and mills.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Proficient with calipers, OD micrometers, and other machinist tools.
• Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls on Mazak machines is a plus.
• Ability to set up, run, and edit programs, and perform in-process inspections.
• Fluent in English; able to communicate clearly with team members.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and vertical/horizontal mills.
• Read blueprints and determine dimensions, tolerances, and setups.
• Edit CNC programs and verify with in-process inspections for quality.
• Maintain safe operations and proper housekeeping in the work area.
• Support operators in loading parts, setting offsets, and deburring parts.
• Identify and resolve machining or quality issues with supervision as needed.
