Job summary

Therm-x of California, a leader in Advanced Temperature and Control Systems, seeks skilled CNC machinists for Modesto facility on swing and day shifts. Candidates will operate and set up Doosan, Mazak, Okuma, and Haas machines, read complex prints, and optimize processes for quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years CNC machining experience.
• Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with complex setups and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills according to job requirements.
• Work with multi-axis and mill/turn equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets.
• Install tooling, set work offsets, load programs, and make adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with programming, quality, and production teams.
