Job summary

Employ Partners in Canton, GA is seeking a Senior CNC Lathe Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and optimize CNC and manual lathe machines to produce precision components to customer specifications.

The role requires 8–10 years CNC lathe experience, blueprint and GD&T proficiency, and a strong focus on quality. Competitive pay from $28 to $35 per hour, OT available, with benefits and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of CNC lathe machining experience.
• Proficient in machine setup, tooling, and process optimization.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
• Proficient in precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Strong math, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, adjust, and optimize CNC and manual lathe machines to manufacture precision components according to customer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, technical documents, and GD&T requirements.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, machine parameters, feeds, and speeds for efficient production.
• Perform machine setups, offsets, tool changes, and program adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling concerns, and production challenges to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality documentation.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and communicate equipment concerns to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer requirements and production deadlines.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced machinists when needed.
